Obituary of Raymond J Haney

Raymond J. Haney III, 59, passed away suddenly on January 9, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Ray was born on January 4, 1962 in Syracuse, NY to the late Raymond J Haney Jr. and Shirley (Campbell) Haney. Ray graduated from Warren County Technical High School class of 1981. He was employed as a contractor for Laymans Contracting for more than 40 years. He also worked for All Image. Ray and his loving wife Cheryl were married in 1993. Ray was a member of the Oxford Emergency Squad for more than 20 years. He was a NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed working on cars and could fix anything. You could always find Ray working on equipment that needed repair at the squad building or helping his friends. Ray cherished time spent with his family especially his grandchildren. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Cheryl (Bush) Haney; a daughter Krista Vernon and her husband James; sons, Kyle Haney and Raymond Haney; his mother, Shirley (Campbell) Haney; sisters, Judy Klonowski and Teresa Meeks. 3 grandchildren (Kinsley, Karlee and Emma) and many loving friends and family. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday January 15, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
