I honor and thank you for being one of my dearest friends since before we entered Kindergarten at Hampton High and Elementry School in 1945. You have been a friend like no other and I dearly will miss you. Thanks for being there for me all these years and may you forever rest in peace. I will always recall the great times we had in Hampton and at NHRHS. May God bless your soul and take tyou into his arms and keep you safe.

Thank u bill for befriending me at the VFW, I will never forget when u invited me to an old tractor flea market where I found an awesome hunting jacket for 20 bucks, I think of u every time I wear it and also when we went to Anthony’s bakery in Denville for some great bread. I’m so sorry to read of Bill’s passing. I remember him as being a very nice man, and always had a smile on his face. He was a friend of my parents, Art and Carol Roman, who both passed in 2009. The Hampton crowd in heaven just got a little bigger. I like to picture them all being together there.

Bill was always gracious to me, even though we didn't know each other very well. His brother Dale told tales of getting beaten up a lot as a kid by older brother Bill, but I'm sure Bill grew out of that phase! I think of him, his dad, and brother Dale when I enter a bathroom and look to see if there are real ceramic tiles or just some inferior plastic ones. Recently, I tried to channel the Winter tile expertise when I created a table top out of tile pieces. I'm not sure what Bill & the others would say about it, but the table looks better than before, thanks to the spirits of Bill, Poppy, & Dale. (by the way, Dale died in 1992, not 2000)
Rest in peace Bill.

We are sharing your sadness....Billy was one of our favorite people-always the same down to earth, vary likeable and always good for a story or funny joke. We’re Bill’s same age and I’ve known him all my life since kindergarten in Hampton he is one of Hampton’s all time good guys and he will be missed by many. With love & Symphony Pat&dick Johnson
