Obituary of Joseph D Torreti

Joseph Douglas Torreti, 70, of Forks Township, PA (formerly of NJ) passed away suddenly at home on October 13, 2020 Joe was born on May 19, 1950 in Camden, NJ to the late Mario and Carol Torreti. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a sharpshooter in the Vietnam War. Joe earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology however he chose a different career. Joe loved being a truck driver. In his early years of driving he had his own moving company and would often be moving entire home contents across the country. He later was employed by Guarriello Trucking. Most recently he was employed at Rodota Trucking and Excavating. When Joe was not on the road in a truck, he loved to be on the open road with his Harley or could be found at the shooting range. Joe leaves behind many dear friends and co-workers. He will be greatly missed. Friends may pay their respects on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5-7 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Memorial service celebrating Joe's life will immediately follow the visitation at 7 PM in the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940 on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 9:00 AM In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's name to the VFW Pohatcong Memorial Post 6701, 33 Springtown Rd, Washington, NJ 07882 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
