Obituary of Peter J Dugett

Peter J. Dugett, 72, of Washington Township, NJ passed away on August 27, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center. Peter was born on November 6, 1947 in Staten Island, NY to the late Joseph F. Dugett Sr and Dorothy "Woods" Dugett. Peter graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School class of 1966. He owned and operated Industrial Rubber Co. in Elizabeth, NJ and he also owned and operated Pick's Irish Pub in Linden, NJ until his retirement in 2019. Peter was a founding member of Thornsticks, an organization whose primary purpose was to propagate pride in one's Irish ancestry and help families in need. He was a member of the Ancient Order-Hibernians in Union County. Peter served as a Commissioner for the city of Elizabeth on the board of Adjustment and Housing Authority. He was known as a generous man who loved his family and his Irish heritage. Peter is survived by a brother, Joseph F. Dugett Jr. (Corinne); a sister, Susan Frenzel; nieces and nephews, Joseph F. Dugett III, Kelly Rolon, Kathleen Custer, Peter Frenzel and Mark Frenzel. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday September 3, 2020 from 6-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 4, 2020 at 11:30 AM from St Ann's Catholic Church. 6 Church St. Hampton, NJ 08827.
