Janet was my best friend from junior high through college. Even though we were far apart the last 20 years, we could talk for an hour on the phone. Lots of sleep overs at her house. I can not believe she is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob and her family. Love ya Janet!~Alice

I didn’t know Mrs. Opdyke super well, but, she was a teacher for my three children at Woodglen school. I remember her as a good teacher, and a regular nice person. Over the years, I would bump into her at Shop-Rite occasionally, and, she always enjoyed hearing about how my grown kids were doing. I’m sure many former students are proud to call her one of their teachers. May she Rest In Peace.——-Sincerly, Christopher V. Sakos

Mrs.Opdyke was a teacher who really invested me as a young person (I’m forty now). I fondly remember her having me draw out large scale baseball players that she then hung up in her room because she said I was talented, she cried over a story I had written in her class and bought me a chocolate Easter bunny when she learned my sister had eaten mine- ha! Her kind heart and genuine love for teaching shined through each and everyday. Things weren’t always easy at home growing up but she made sure I knew my value as a person, an artist/writer and encouraged me to pursue my talents. I will never forget how much that meant to me and shaped my life. Praying over your loss. God bless.
