Obituary of Robert L Moore
Robert L. Moore, 84 of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on April 24, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospice House.
Robert was born on November 25, 1935 in Beaver County PA to the late Clifford and Sarah Moore.
Robert moved to Califon, NJ as a young child and worked on the family farm. He graduated from North Hunterdon High School Class of 1955. He married Clara "Hackett" Moore in 1956. He was employed by Welsh Farms in Long Valley, NJ for more than 25 years until his retirement in 1999. Robert started his employment at Welsh farms as a residential milkman delivery person and ascended in the company to eventually become the Plant Superintendent. Robert was a past member and Chief of the Califon Fire Department. He was a NJ State Exempt Firemen. He was also a member of Lions Club international Chester Chapter. Robert also bowled in a senior league at Warren Lanes in Phillipsburg NJ. He enjoyed baking, sitting on his back porch watching and feeding the birds and squirrels in his yard. Above all his accomplishments he was a devoted father who cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert his survived by his loving wife of 64 years Clara; Daughters, Luann Majcher and partner Lou, Lori Slominski and her husband Edward and Patti Pollick and her husband Dennis; A son Kerry Moore and his wife Tina; A sister Sandra Freeborn; Brothers Clifford and James Moore. 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Robert is predeceased by a brother David.
