Obituary of Thomas P McNally

Thomas P. McNally, 66, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away suddenly on February 16, 2020 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. Tom was born on December 29, 1953 in Queens, NY to the late Patrick and Mary (Kenny) McNally. Tom graduated from Holy Cross high school in Queens, NY class of 1971. Previously of Rosedale, NY and Oxford, NJ Tom was employed as a Project Manager for AT&T in Bedminster, NJ for more than 25 years until his retirement in 1998. Tom had aspired to be a police officer, like the late Stephen Reina, before entering the business world and also served for a time with the Sayerville Police Department. He was a squire in the Knights of Columbus and a past parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Oxford. He loved horses and horseback riding, especially his beloved horse Shadow. The friends he made throughout his years at Malibu Ranch in Milford, PA remained his friends for most of his life. Halloween was his favorite holiday and he loved all things scary such as horror movies and Stephen King novels. He was also an avid follower of the weather and the US Space program. Tom was proud of his Irish heritage and often spoke of the family members that came from Ireland to the US. Tom instilled in his daughters a love of football, which has been passed on to his grandchildren as well. Tom was known as a jokester and was always sharing his sense of humor with friends and family alike. His laugh was contagious, and his smile was always reflected in his eyes. Tom was a great storyteller and sharing stories about his childhood and family and friends were some of his favorites. His other hobbies included fishing, photography, country music, anything to do with animals and westerns. He loved anything John Wayne. Above all, Tom cherished time spent with his family. His true loves in life were his grandchildren, as they affectionately referred to him as "Grumpy". He told his daughter's he always wanted to be a cowboy when he grew up. In the words of his favorite country singer and cowboy, Chris Ledoux, "The road to heaven is a hell of ride." Tom is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Debbie; 2 daughters, Kristen Kries and her husband Jason, Nicole Reyes and her husband Alfred; 6 grandchildren, Austin and Bailey Kries, Christopher, Alyssa, Darryn and Briell Reyes. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 27th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
