Obituary of Charles Joseph Nabasko

Charles "Joe" Nabasko, 70, formerly a lifelong resident of Clinton, NJ passed away peacefully on January 5, 2020 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA. Joe was born on November 20, 1949 in Glen Gardner, NJ to the late Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Nabasko. Joe graduated from North Hunterdon high school class of 1968. He married his soulmate Joyce "Zulauf" Rothenbeck on January 11, 1975 at the Clinton Methodist Church. He was employed as an Engineer for Century Link, Embarq and earlier in is career United Telephone Co in Clinton, NJ for more than 42 years until his retirement in 2010. Joe and Joyce moved to Nazareth, PA in 2010. Joe loved surf fishing especially on the Outer Banks of NC, and Island Beach State Park, NJ. He loved cooking, especially bluefish on the grill. Joe was an avid Oakland Raiders fan, Nascar and target shooting. He enjoyed going to car shows and often entered his 1972 Corvette. He also enjoyed walking on the track at Tuskes Park and he was a member of Keystone Rod and Gun Club in Bath and Pt Phillips Gun club. Joe is survived by his loving wife, of 45 years Joyce, two step-children, Michael Rothenbeck of Easton, Pa and Jacqueline Bridge of Bloomsbury, NJ, 6 grandchildren, Jessica Edler of Brandon Florida, Natasha Zellars of Phillipsburg, Amanda Bridge of Phillipsburg, Melissa Valente of Asbury, Michael Fisher of Easton and Kailey Trauma of Washington and 11 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents Joe was preceded in death his by Sisters, Elizabeth Bardon and Margaret Bowers and grandson Kody Rothenbeck. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday January 10, 2020 from 4-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Oxford Colonial United Methodist Church. 32 Washington Ave. Oxford, NJ 07863.
