Condolences to Scott's family - Scott was such a nice guy. We both worked in the insurance industry, and when I would see him we had a lot to talk about. I have not seen him recently, but remember our conversations fondly- Rest in Peace.

People would sometimes ask if I was taller than Scott, to which I would always reply "no way"...even though I actually was. I could never really embrace this as reality. It all had to do with how he carried himself, and how I "looked up" to him. To me, he was a towering influence and bigger than life itself.

Scott was my mentor, not only in business, but in life itself. He was also a father to me in so many ways. Although I lost my mother three months ago, I somehow feel comforted by him being there with her. He always had a way of making me feel like everything would be ok. I remember when he provided a personal guarantee so I could buy the house of my dreams. And when he invited me to a Welch family Thanksgiving in Disney World. He had relentless determination in business, yet he always dropped what he was doing to take a call from Henrietta. His incredible stories were fun and entertaining...and most of them had a learning experience never to be forgotten. What a blessing for me to have him in my life. There really are no words. I can't even begin to describe the impact he has had on my life.

Dear Henrietta, Jodi, Todd, Deb, William, Dan, Ryan, Zach, Hunter, Kate, Stephanie, Jenna, Sadie, Lauren, Ava, Baby Scott, and all of Scott's loved ones: I am so sad to learn of your loss. Scott made an unforgettable impression on each and every person he met, whether it was one time or a hundred. Larger than life, a human who respected and treasured other people. I have been thankful for 30 years that my son was a part of your tribe. We could not have asked for better role models for him.

Dear Henrietta and family,
Valerie and I are so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. I have fond memories of working with Scott in my 12 years at BS&W. Especially the BS&W fire truck in parades, picnics at Johnson's Farm and annual Christmas parties and business get togethers.
Scott, you and the family will be in our prayers.
Sincerely,
George Smith

Henrietta and family, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of Scott. He was a true gentleman and was always a pleasure to talk to and would help you with anything that needed to be done. First met Scott through the Hackettstown Rescue Squad and then while working for Bob at the Exxon station in Town. Our Condolences to you and your entire family!
