Obituary of Gaspare Puccio

Gaspare Puccio, 86, of Pittstown, NJ (formerly of Bethlehem Township, NJ) passed away peacefully on December 3, 2019 at Country Arch Care Center. Gaspare was born on March 13, 1933 in Palermo, Sicily to the late Salvatore and Mattea Puccio. Gaspare was schooled in Italy. He served in the Italian Navy and was also an Italian Merchant Marine prior to immigrating to the United States. He married the love of his life Gisela Keiper and together celebrated 49 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2018. Gaspare was employed at Hoechst-Celanese in Branchburg, NJ prior to his retirement in 1998. He was an avid soccer fan. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and tending to fruit trees and flowers. Above all he was a devoted husband and father. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his loving daughter, Alexandra Maguire and her husband Richard, 6 treasured grandchildren; Cheyenne, Desiree, Adam, Ashley, Mandie and Richie. A sister, Fina Savoca, nieces; Gabriella Norman, Barbara Puccio, Becky Kuhnau, Sue Bernhard, Barbara O'Connell and Mattea D'Atria and nephews; Claudio Puccio and Salvatore Puccio. In addition to his parents and 7 siblings, he is preceded in death by his devoted wife Gisela. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 10-11 A.M at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton, NJ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
