Obituary of Nellie S Sbriscia

Nellie S. Sbriscia, 88, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on August 9, 2016 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital. Nellie was born on December 23, 1927 in Trenton, NJ to the late Clement and Josephine Edolo. Formerly of Washington Nellie moved to Phillipsburg in 2002. She attended Washington high school class of 1945. Nellie worked as a Folder for Lee Cock Table Cloth Company in Washington. She also worked at Homestead Bakery earlier in her life. Her loving husband Ercole Sbriscia passed away in 1979. Nellie was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Joseph Church in Washington and Sts. Phillip & James Church in Phillipsburg. She enjoyed walking, word search games and watching Dancing with the Stars. She was a follower of Pro Golfer Phil Mickelson. Nellie was a magnificent cook and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters Sharon Truhe and her husband John, Susan Albohn; A brother Carl Edolo; Grandchildren Nicole, Ashley and her husband Jeff, Courtney and her husband Justin, Eric and his wife Brooke; Great Grandchildren Mason, Mckenzie, Riley and Bennett. Many nieces and nephews including Rae Lynn and David. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Dennis, a daughter Cindy; Sisters Rose Edolo, Marie Leggio and Julia O'Connor; Brothers Patrick, Frank, Anthony, Joseph and Nicholas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. 200 Carlton Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nellie's name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 OR St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave, Washington, NJ 07882 OR St. Luke's University Health Network. 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
