Obituary of Stephen F. Magyar

Stephen F. Magyar, Sr., 88, a lifelong resident of Washington passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was born in Harmony, NJ, on December 30, 1927 to the late Vendel and Helen (nee Varga) Magyar. All who knew Stephen will remember how he took pride in his John Deere Tractor, loved his Dodge Ram truck and riding his Quad. He enjoyed the outdoors. Stephen was a printer for 18 years, retiring in 1990 from M&M Mars Company. He also was employed as a machine operator at Vikon Tile. Dedicated to his country, Stephen served in the Army. He will be especially missed by his children who will always remember Stephen as the “Best Dad”. He is survived by 2 loving sons Craig Magyar and wife Alexis and Stephen F. Magyar Jr.; a loving and caring daughter with whom he resided with Joann Magyar and companion Don Missimer; 2 cherished grandchildren Jillian and Jason Magyar and 2 great grandchildren Julie and Jacob Lerkey; a sister Helen Patti and especially his Jack Russell Terrier “Shelby”. He is predeceased by 3 brothers Vendel, Charles and James. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in Stephen’s name to the Washington Emergency Squad, 100 Belvidere Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
