Obituary of Louis P. Stout

Louis P. Stout, 94, a lifelong resident of Belvidere and White Township, NJ passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024. Louis was born on June 6, 1929 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Frank and Mary Gladys (Stopp) Stout. He was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. He graduated from Belvidere High School class of 1947 and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After serving his country, he drove truck until his retirement. Louis and his wife Barbara (Jackson) Stout were married in 1956. He was a lifelong member of the United Presbyterian Church in Belvidere. He was active in the White Township Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Louis's favorite hobby was building and flying radio-controlled airplanes. In addition to his wife Barbara, Louis is survived by his children, Mitchell Stout (Leanne Ryan) and Valerie Ilg (William), Mitchell's daughters; Kirsten Gregorash (Kyle) and Karissa Valentine (James); three great- granddaughters; Marley, Lennon and Isla and his former daughter in-law, Diane VanHeerden. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a local animal shelter.
