Obituary of Robert Fluck

Robert H. Fluck, 88, formerly of the Port Murray section of Mansfield Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 16, 2023 at Phoebe Meadow Glen in Richlandtown, Pennsylvania. Bob was born on January 29, 1935 in Easton, PA to the late Harold and Josephine "Dapkiewicz" Fluck. He graduated from Easton High School, Class of 1952, and earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from East Stroudsburg University. Bob proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He then married Shirley "Wagner" in 1956. He and Shirley moved to Mansfield Township at which point he began his teaching career at Washington High School and went on to become Principal at Warren Hills Regional High School. He retired in 1994 as the Administrator for Project Excel after serving more than 30 years in education. Bob was past coach of the Washington High School Freshman football team. He was a founding member of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Port Murray. Bob enjoyed woodworking, fishing, studying history, especially the American Civil War, and reading. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV, however, his favorite sporting events were when he saw his grandchildren compete on the field and the mat. He was a huge supporter of the Warren Hills Wrestling Program. Bob loved his dog Tiki, also known as his fifth and favorite child. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Shirley; his children, Deborah Fluck (Frank Hebblethwaite), Lynn Griffin (Robert), Matt Fluck (Irene) and Mark Fluck (Gerry Kasper); a sister, Nancy Radakovich; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. At Bob's request, all services will be private. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held followed by Interment at Durham Cemetery in Durham, PA.
