Obituary of Glen R Welch

It is with immense sadness that the family of Glen R Welch announces his unexpected and sudden passing on March 31, 2019, at the age of 57.

A native of New Jersey, Glen grew up in Great Meadows and Belvidere before moving to Lebanon Township in 1990. He was a graduate of Belvidere high school class of 1979 and earned his B/A from St. John's University in New York. Glen was current CEO of Charter Partners Insurance in Easton, PA, and former president of Bowers, Schumann & Welch in Washington, NJ. Glen served as current president for the Family Guidance Center. He enjoyed working on old cars, going to car shows, riding his motorcycle, bicycling, coin collecting, traveling, and going to Disney. Glen most treasured time spent with his family especially his grandchildren, Sadie, Ava, and Scott.

Glen will be forever remembered by his loving wife, of 37 years Deborah Schanzlin Welch, and precious children, William Welch (wife Lauren Sabol), Daniel Welch (wife Jenna Petrowski), Katelyn Welch (fiancé Geoffrey Levine), and Stephanie Welch (husband Matthew Pempkowski). Alongside his parents, Henrietta and Scott, with brother, Todd Welch (wife Kathleen) and sister, Jody Welch. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Glen was one of the greats. If you knew him, you looked up to him. You likely adored him, respected him, and you may have even envied him. You would also know that his family was everything to him, and he was everything to them in return. He lived life to the fullest, and made sure those around him did as well. He applied humor to every situation, and always lit up a room with his smile and quick-wit. His intelligence and way with words was captivating, and his perspective was un-matched. In his honor, a Celebration of Glen's life will be from 2:00 – 5:00 pm, on Saturday, April 13, at Durham Springs in Kintnersville, PA. ,

Memorial donations in memory of Glen can be made to Family Guidance Center, 492 RT-57 West. Washington, NJ 07882 and Lebanon Township Rescue Squad.
