Obituary of Robert William Krouse

Robert William Krouse, 84, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was born on March 12, 1932 in Broadway, NJ to the late George and Alice Krouse Robert was a lifelong resident of Broadway, residing his entire life on the same property which he was born. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. When he returned home he married the love of his life, Anna. Robert is of the Methodist faith and a parishioner of the United Methodist Church of Broadway. He owned and operated Broadway Lawnmower Sales & Service until his retirement in 1994. Robert also was a school bus driver for Warren Hills and Franklin Township School districts. He was a Life Member of the Franklin Twp Fire Co., Warren County Fire Police, the VFW of Pohatcong and a Boy Scout leader for many years. Robert was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, particularly trout and salmon fishing. He was a fan of western movies and anything John Wayne acted in. He was a friend to all and a family man. He cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Anna Krouse, his loving children, a daughter, Alice Betts and her husband Glenn, 3 sons, William Krouse, Ronald Krouse and his wife Daryl and Albert Krouse and his wife Susan. A sister Lucy Hoffman and 11 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son Thomas and 3 brothers, George Krouse and Albert & George Hahn A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life will be held Monday April 25, 2016 at 6:30 PM, at the United Methodist Church of Broadway, 2233 State Route 57 West. Broadway, NJ 08808. Friends and family may pay their respects from 5:00 – 6:30 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert’s name to the Franklin Twp.
