Obituary of Robert C. Christine
Robert C. Christine, 88, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2007, in his home.
Born: November 10, 1918, in Washington, a son of the late Anna Smith.
Personal: His wife, Mary Lou, passed away February 23, 2007. Robert was a graduate of Washington High School, class of 1937. He worked as a salesman for Washington Auto Parts & Sterling Auto Parts in Scranton, Pa. In 1974, he became owner and operator of RCC Automotive Inc. in Washington. He retired in 1989. Robert served in the Coast Guard from 1941 to 1946 during World War II.
Memberships: He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Washington. He volunteered with the Brass Castle Youth Association and the Washington area Meals on Wheels.
Survivors: three daughters, Susan Randall and her husband, Stephen, of Wethersfield, Conn., Nancy Sabada and her husband, David, of St. Louis, Mo. and Linda Beers and her husband, Tracy, of Blue Bell, Pa.; a son, Robert S. and his wife, Sally, of Washington; and eight grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Mark, Jeffrey, Kimberly, Brian, Scott and Olivia. A grandson, Darrik Sabada, died in 1999.
Services: A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234. W. Washington Ave., Washington.
