Obituary of Juriy Bourenko

Juriy Bourenko, 24, of Hackettstown, and formerly of Phillipsburg, Asbury and the Ukraine, died Friday, February 27, 2009 as a result of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Born: February 1, 1985 in Kalush, Ukraine, he was a son of Oleksiv Bourenko of Russia and Natalia Fischer of Washington Township, NJ. Personal: Juriy worked for the Asbury Graphite mill in Asbury, NJ. Juriy was a very talented and dedicated artist, never without his sketchbook and looking forward to a career as a tattoo artist. Musically talented, he loved playing the guitar and the accordion. Juriy loved animals especially horses. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Shawnee; his caring parents Oleksiy Bourenko of Russia and Natalia Fischer and her husband Joseph of Washington Township; both his maternal and paternal grandparents of Ukraine; dear friend Jesse Harvey and the Harvey family of Mansfield; an aunt Irina Bartkiv and an uncle Igor Jodovanets; many Friends and relatives of both the United States and Ukraine. Services: Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. with Father Thomas Edwards to perform the Panachida at 7:30 p.m. in Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. The funeral will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10 a.m. in Orthodox Church of the St. Gregory Palamas, 5 Church, St., Glen Gardner, NJ. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.
