Obituary of Judy L. Pilecki

Judy L. Pilecki, 57, who joyously celebrated life virtually to its end, passed away on January 11, 2009, at her home. Born: Born June 24, 1951 in Somerville, she was a daughter of Herbert and Lois Furstenburg. Personal: She was a beloved partner, loving mother and cherished friend. Since being diagnosed with cancer two and a half years ago, she was determined to live life to the fullest and enjoy ever moment with family and friends, while never letting cancer dictate her life. She graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 1969. She graduated from the Overlook Hospital School of Radiology Technology in 1971. She worked as an X-ray Technologist and an Ultrasound Technologist at Overlook Hospital until 1987. In March 1987, she opened Four Seasons Greenery on Rt. 22 in Whitehouse, where she nurtured her love of gardening. She worked at her business almost until the end of her life because of her strong work ethic and driving force to "live". Her love of nature included kayaking, biking, hiking, and collecting shells at the Jersey shore. She also enjoyed photography, antiquing and traveling around the country. Judy's favorite winter activity was hiking the trails of Merrill Creek and watching the snow geese. Survivors: Surviving are her spouse; a son, Kristofer of Easton; a daughter, Kari Sinclair and her husband, Dennis; and a grandson, Aidan, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; her mother, Lois Furstenburg of Lebanon; brothers, Bruce Furstenburg and his wife Carol of Scotch Plains, and Roger Furstenburg and his wife Nancy of Whitehouse Station; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from all around the country, who loved her immensely, survive her. Her father, Herbert, passed away in January 2008. Services: Her immediate family will hold a private celebration of her life.
