Obituary of Loretta J Shannon

Loretta J. Shannon "Nan" April 8, 1949 – April 28, 2025 Loretta J. Shannon "Nan", 76, of Washington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Born on April 8, 1949, in Ashland, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Boker and Elizabeth (Lurch) Boker. Loretta enjoyed family gatherings, attending concerts, going to the gym, and relaxing at the beach, all things that brought her great joy throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Shannon III, and their children, Edward Shannon IV and his wife, Carrie, and William Shannon. Loretta is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Clayton, Savannah, Brittney, Tyler, Holly, Ashley, Eddie, Billy, and Samantha; her siblings, Barbara McDaniel and Shirley J. Boker-Kennedy; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Loretta was predeceased by her daughter, Debra, who passed away in 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke's Hospice House, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015 Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey, 07882. A service celebrating Loretta's life will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Washington, New Jersey.
