Obituary of Sharon A Metroke

Sharon A. Metroke, 68, passed away peacefully with her brother by her side on February 1, 2025.

Sharon has lived in Oxford her entire life. She is pre-deceased by her parents Mildred and John Metroke Sr and is survived by her brother John E Metroke who will miss her immensely. She graduated from Warren Hills High School in 1974.

Sharon was a caring person always willing to help others. She was always there for others when they needed her. She spent many years volunteering at a local County museum dressing up in vintage clothing and explaining local history to visitors. She loved animals especially her dog Annie that misses her greatly. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and especially decorating the entire house for each Holiday. She worked as a visiting homemaker for many many years tending to the needs of her clients with passion, many of which expressed to me how much she cared for them and they her. Throughout her life she had many health challenges which she took in stride and without complaint. Sharon loved anything Disney and has many Disney figurines all around the house. She enjoys watching football and her favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. I am sure Sharon will be watching the Superbowl from the best seat in the house.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday February 9, 2025 from 12-2 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday February 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. 85 Academy St. Oxford, NJ 07863. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Common Sense For Animals, PO Box 589, Broadway, NJ 08808, http://www.commonsenseforanimals.org
