Obituary of Kavita E Gupta
Kavita Elizabeth Gupta departed this world on January 1, 2025. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, she was born on March 27, 2004 in Phillipsburg, NJ.
She leaves behind a family that will miss her dearly. We will always remember her sense of style and her sense of humor that was sometimes dry but always enough to bring a stunned pause followed by lots of giggles. We will never forget "SNORKEL!" The hole in our hearts will never be filled.
She is survived by her father, Sunil Gupta, her mother, Jill (Gamble) Gupta, both of Asbury, NJ and sister, Priya Gupta, who resides in Chicago, IL. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Perry. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Dr. Bhawani Prasad and Santosh Gupta of Ahmedabad, India.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Hilda Elaine Gamble, and maternal great-grandmother, Helen Gamble, as well as her paternal great-grandmother, Besanti Devi.
Kavita was an accomplished ballet dancer, training in NYC for her last two years of high school and receiving scholarships to many prestigious programs. Injuries during her senior year prevented her from pursuing this passion further. After taking some time to recover, she completed the cosmetology program at RVCC and earned her state license in the fall of 2024. She had been an invaluable Dunkin' team member for over 2 years running the sandwich station like a boss lady. She had an amazing work ethic she never gave herself enough credit for. She loved the regular drive-thru customers and even bought some of them Christmas presents. Her family was very proud of her. She had a huge heart. She was very compassionate towards animals and lonely mushrooms. She was a collector and maker of "tiny things."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tabby's Place in Ringoes, NJ in her memory. www.tabbysplace.org.
Private services will be held at a later date. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home. To send an online condolence please visit www.warrenhillsmemorialhome.com
