Obituary of Robert A Gregoire

Robert A. Gregoire, 87, of Washington Township, NJ passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2024 Robert was born on March 6, 1937 in Ushers, NY to the late Wilfred and Lillian "Pierce" Gregoire. He graduated from Burnt Hills High School class of 1955 and went on to earn a degree from Cortland University. He married his soulmate Barbara "Lavigne'' in 1957. Robert and Barbara moved to Washington Township in 1976. He was employed as a project manager for AT&T for more than 39 years until his retirement in 1995. Robert was a volunteer fireman in Mechanicville New York Fire Department for 19 years. He later joined the Washington Township Fire Department and volunteered for more than 10 years. He was a member of the Telecom Pioneers of America. He was a volunteer at Music Fest and the Wallkill Wildfire refuge for many years. He also volunteered his time as a little league coach, CYO Basketball and Soccer. Robert enjoyed gardening, bird watching and riding his bike around the neighborhood. Robert enjoyed traveling and visiting National Parks around the United States. He also loved to do puzzles with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Barbara; his children, Kathleen Kistler (Steve), Robert Gregoire (Janet), Lea Miller (Jim) and Eric Gregoire (Dani); grandchildren, Lea, Jes, Jen, Jackie, Heidi, Jamie, Niki, Maria, Anthony and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Marion Morby, Wilfred Gregoire and Arthur Gregoire. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Washington, NJ privately.
