Obituary of Jose D Pinto

Jose D. Pinto, 80, of Washington, NJ and previously of Sayreville, NJ passed away on February 23, 2024 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital. Jose was born on April 10, 1943 in Sao Romano Seia, Portugal to the late Antonio Pinto and Lurdes Pinto (nee. Silvestre). Jose served in the Portuguese Army before coming to the United States in 1969. He worked as a first class mechanic for PSE&G in Jersey City, NJ for over thirty years, until his retirement in 2005. Jose was known to tinker on things around the house and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife Leonilde "Connie" Pinto and their children; Jose D. Pinto Jr. and his wife Dina and Angela M. Pinto and her husband Sean Wee. Jose also leaves behind his 3 grandchildren; Olivia Wee, Isabella Pinto and Joshua Pinto. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Entombment will immediately follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery and Mausoleum, 316 Old Allerton Rd., Annandale, NJ 08801. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jose's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
