Obituary of Mervin W Wagoner II

Mervin Woodrow "Woody" Wagoner II, 81, of Washington, NJ (formerly of North Webster, IN) passed away on November 14, 2023 in Bethlehem, PA. Woody was born on June 15, 1942 in Goshen IN to the late Mervin and Helen (Miller) Wagoner. He graduated from North Webster High School Class of 1962. His entire career was in the wire industry, starting at the age of 16 at Lyall Electric which later became Group Dekko. Woody moved to New Jersey in December of 1997 as General Manager at Jersey Strand and Cable until his retirement in February 2008. He was a hardworking and dedicated man his entire life. He had several inventions in his career and was always building something at home. Woody had a good sense of humor and liked to tease. He was incredibly intelligent and everyone turned to him for advice. He loved, cherished, and always provided for his family. He never put himself before anyone. Woody enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, rollercoasters, people watching, Nascar, and his mother and sister's homemade ice-cream. Woody was loved and cherished and will be missed by many. Woody is survived by his loving and devoted wife Teri S. Wagoner. Children - Kimberly (Richard) Owen of North Webster, IN, Stephanie Kuhn (her children -Michael "Mervin", Rachael, Dominick, and Hollie Montana), Brittany (William) Tishuk (her children - Brooklyn and Brianna) Washington, NJ, Mark (Lisa) Wagoner of Neon, KY, Matthew (Terri) Wagoner of North Webster, IN, Mitchell Wagoner of Syracuse, IN. Sisters - Linda Shepherd of North Webster, Pamela Hopkins of Warsaw, IN, and Carole Adkins of North Webster. Woody was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren all of whom he loved. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. The Man, The Myth, The Legend. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24th, 2023 at the Salem Community Church, 11188 W. 325S, Larwill, IN. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12 noon on Friday in the church with Pastor Mark Wagoner officiating. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
