Obituary of John F Drummond
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving Husband, Father, Father in law, Brother, Uncle and most importantly Pop Pop.
John was born on November 7th, 1956 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late George and Elizabeth (Sisak) Drummond. He is predeceased by his parents, as well as his sister Dorothy Fernandes.
John absolutely adored his wife Cathy, whom he married on October 10th, 1981. Together, they loved to take rides on their motorcycle, traveling to Punta Cana with their close friends Butch Eick and Dede Golden, but their favorite place to have traveled together was Nashville, Tennessee. There, they enjoyed going to the Rymon Auditorium and seeing all that Tennessee has to offer. John enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He enjoyed being a member of the PA Steel League. He was also dedicated to his community, having served on the Hampton School Board as President, Hampton Planning Board as President as well as the Hampton Borough Council. He was a past Captain of the Hampton Emergency Squad and a past member of Hampton Fire Department where he also served as secretary.
John is also survived by his daughter Jennifer Good and her husband Gary of Phillipsburg, NJ, son Matthew Drummond and his wife Erin also of Phillipsburg, NJ as well as his amazing grandchildren Landon and Harper Good. Brother George Drummond of Bangor, PA, nephew George Drummond of Bangor, PA, Brother in law Jack Fernandes of Naples, FL and nephew Douglas Fernandes and his wife Christine of Monmouth Beach, NJ. He also leaves behind sisters in law Cheryl Kappus and her Husband Robert of NJ, Carol Kiermaier and her husband Thomas of PA. John also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and an Aunt. He also leaves behind his loving Labrador Harley and grand dogs Loki and Kora.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday October 7, 2023 from 11AM – 2:30 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 West Washington Avenue Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service celebrating John's life will begin at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations in John's name may be made to a nonprofit charity of one's choice. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
