Obituary of Julius F DiRisio

Julius F. DiRisio, 82, of Port Murray, NJ passed away on June 2, 2023 at home with loved ones by his side. Julius was born on April 3, 1941 in Washington, NJ to the late Raymond and Rose DiRisio. He was a graduate of Washington High School class of 1959 and also attended the University of Iowa. Julius owned and operated Piney Ridge Farm in Mansfield Township, NJ. In 1979, Julius won the Cooperator of the Year for Warren County Soil Conservation. He had a passion for wrestling and coached for over 30 years at the Washington Y Wrestling Club and Warren Hills Junior High. Julius was a cofounder of the Warren Hills Wrestling Club and was the creator of the Warren County Farmers Fair Wrestling Tournament. Julius is survived by his children, Andrea DiRisio and Julius DiRisio II. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Michael Lonnee, Nicole Belanger, Colby DiRisio and Jordan DiRisio, great grandchildren; Julius Lonnee, Eli Lonnee, Maliik Carroll, Mason Carroll, and William Lonnee Julius is also survived by his sister, Doris Gorab. In addition to his parents, Julius is predeceased by his daughter, Juliann DiRisio, his brother, Raymond DiRisio, his sister-in-law, Irma DiRisio, and his brother-in-law, Herman Gorab. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
