Otto E. Haldimann Jr., 80 of Washington Township, NJ passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023 at his home. Otto was born on December 26, 1942 in Newton, NJ to the late Otto E. and Adale "Rosenau" Haldimann Sr. He graduated from Blairstown High School class of 1960. Otto served proudly in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. After returning home from the Air Force he married the love of his life Linda "Salvemini" in 1965. They moved to Washington, NJ in 1970 and raised their family. Otto was employed by M&M Mars in Hackettstown as a machine operator for more than 30 years. Otto enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and spending time with his family.
In addition to his loving wife Linda of 57 years Otto is survived by his daughters, Melinda Haldimann, Christina Capecci and her husband Joseph and a son, Joseph Haldimann and his wife Bobbi Jo; a sister, Elsie Marshall, 11 grandchildren- Brian DeWitt Jr., Michael DeWitt, Sean DeWitt, Hope Scerbo, Nicole DeWitt, Sheena Capecci, Kristen Long, Melissa Haldimann, Julia Haldimann, Benjamin Haldimann and Joseph Haldimann Jr., and 3 great grandchildren- Ali DeWitt, Madison DeWitt and Mikey DeWitt. Otto was preceded in death by his siblings, John Haldimann, Mary Lou Hofsases, Betty Ann Hofsases and Heidi Tony.
