Obituary of Charlene L Cavitch

Charlene L. Cavitch, 81 of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully in Hospice care on January 10, 2023. She was born on May 19, 1941 in Washington Borough to the late Lewis and Leona (Dillman) Jones. Charlene graduated from Belvidere High School class of 1959. She married her soulmate, Michael Cavitch Jr., in 1961. Charlene grew up in Belvidere then moved to Washington after her marriage. She worked as a secretary for Oxwall Tool Co. in Oxford, NJ and as a receptionist for Piersall Chemical Co. in Brainards before devoting her time to raise her family. She also helped with the bookkeeping for her husband's business, Mike's Auto Body Shop, in Washington, NJ. Charlene was an original member of the Washington Township Senior Club where she helped plan and organize bus trips and events. She also volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity store. She enjoyed beach trips, attending antique car shows with her husband, and shopping. Charlene enjoyed spending time with her cherished children, grandchildren and dear friends. Putting everyone else first, she brightened the lives of every single person she met with her positive energy and smile. Charlene found pleasure in the simple things in life and celebrated each day. In addition to her loving husband of 61 years, Charlene is survived by her four children, Shawn Cavitch and Kathy; Michelle (Cavitch) Whitman and her husband Richard; Kelli (Cavitch) Cosgrave and her husband Christopher; Michael Cavitch III and his wife Stephanie; her sister, Denise (Jones) Ehasz and her husband Michael; and 11 adored grandchildren, Alyssa, Kyla, Quinn, Griffin, Sophia, Jillian, Kellen, Michael IV, MacKenzie, Samuel, and Stephen. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday January 20, 2023 from 3-7 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service celebrating Charlene's life will begin at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
