Obituary of Mary Zajac

Mary T. Zajac, 94, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on September 26, 2021 at Brakeley Park Care Center in Lopatcong, NJ. Mary was born on July 29, 1927 in the Philippines to the late William and Mary Bloodgood. Mary married the love of her life Henry A. Zajac Sr. in 1953. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2008. Mary and her husband moved to Washington in 1957 where they raised their family and opened Zajac's Music Store. Mary worked beside her husband in the music store while also raising her family until the store closed after her husband's passing. . She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where she served as an Usher. In her younger years she was an avid bowler. Mary loved to dance. She enjoyed socializing with her lady friends and go on many trips with them. She loved ice-cream and would often say it was her favorite food. Above all she loved her family. She cherished her granddaughters and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mary is survived by her loving children, Henry A. Zajac and his wife Patricia and Marc Zajac and his wife Terri. She also leaves behind her treasured granddaughters Victoria L. Zajac and Alissa N. Zajac and many nieces and nephews. In additions to her devoted husband Henry A. Zajac Sr. she is preceded in death by her siblings, James Bloodgood, Ann Beranek and William Bloodgood Jr. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 9-10:30 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. 200 Carlton Ave. Washington, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Parish cemetery.
