Obituary of Josephine A. Bracey

Josephine A. Bracey, 80, of Oxford, NJ and formerly of Middlesex, NJ passed away peacefully on July 23, 2021 at Warren Haven Nursing Home in Oxford, NJ. She was born on October 18, 1940 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Vincent and Josephine Piacquadio. Josephine graduated from Plainfield High School class of 1958. She worked many years for the USGA in the Rules and Competition sector. Joey also worked as a truck driver and raised her own beef cattle. She always loved helping others, from being an assistant coach for the girls track team at Warren Hills Regional High School, to being a Warren County 4H leader. She was even a youth minister at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin in Middlesex, NJ. She knew how to live her life to the fullest and accomplished anything she set her heart on, and at the age of 70 she accomplished her lifelong dream of obtaining her bachelor's degree in sociology. Josephine's hobbies included: golf, horseback riding, crossed country skiing, and going for the occasional hot air balloon ride. She was a 7th degree grange member at Warren Grange 110. Most recently Josephine was president of the Warren Haven Resident Committee. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her two sons; Richard Bracey and his wife Gina, and Daniel Bracey and his wife Jean. Joey is also survived by her grandchildren; Ryan, Jacob, Daniel, Luke, Elizabeth, Jaclyn, and Samantha Bracey. She also leaves behind her cherished great grandchildren; Everett, Isla and Aria. Josephine is also survived by her sister; Virginia and her husband Anthony, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Richard Bracey, who passed in 2003, and her daughter Nancy Bracey. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Michael J. A memorial mass of catholic burial will take place on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
