Laszlo Stankovics, 88, formerly of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2020 at Warren Haven Nursing Home. Laszlo was born on February 8, 1932 in Nagykanizsa, Hungary to the late Janos and Frzsebet Konics-Stankovics.
Escaping from Hungary in 1956 with his wife, Laszlo settled in England. In 1971 he and the family immigrated to the United States. He specialized in the repair and restoration of all makes British cars and established Laszlo & Sons motors, in Ocean Grove, NJ. He loved to dance and was an avid collector of Jaguar automobiles.
Laszlo is survived by his loving children, Dr. Mary Stankovics, Laszlo F. Stankovics and Alexander J. Stankovics and his wife Vilma; a brother, Frank Stankovics (age 84) and sister, Járdi Lászlóne (age 96); Grandchildren, Sean, Zachary, Evan and Kylie. In accordance with Laszlo's wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
