Obituary of Charles A McMurray

Charles A. McMurray III, 79, of Mansfield Township, NJ passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2020 surrounded by his family. Charles was born on October 10, 1940 in Orange, NJ to the late Charles and Elaine McMurray Jr. He graduated from Caldwell High School class of 1959. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University. Chuck served proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Computer Programmer by the Bank of New York for more than 30 year until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the American Legion Post 164 in Hackettstown, NJ. Chuck was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Shirley "Ferguson" McMurray; Sons, Thomas McMurray (Danielle), Kevin McMurray and Mark McMurray (Mellissa Eimer); Brothers, Jim and Dennis McMurray; Sister, Mary Halloran; Stepchildren, Bridget Almada, Holly Sweeney, Ivy Young and Ronnette Nolf; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery privately. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
