Obituary of Michael T Gesner
Michael T. Gesner, 74, a lifelong resident of Washington, New Jersey, passed away at home on July 26, 2020 with loved ones by his side.
Michael was born on November 13, 1945 in Easton, Pennsylvania to the late Elmer and Pansy Gesner.
Michael graduated from Washington High School in 1963. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he served his country proudly before being honorably discharged. Michael had a passion for hot rod cars and even did some street racing in his younger years. He owned and operated Warren County Auto Parts. He was a member of the Washington VFW and was also a member of the Hunterdon County and Monroe County Historical Societies. Michael was known for his genealogy expertise all around Hunterdon and Warren Counties. He also enjoyed serving as the "Wandering Gourmet Food Critic" for the Express Times.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Janet, and by their children David Gesner and his wife, Renee, and Tricia Gesner and her husband, Scott Muller. Michael is also survived by a granddaughter, Tarissa Rinier, her husband Jeremy, and a great grandson, Caleb. He is also leaves behind two sisters: Lisa Duckworth and her husband, Kenneth, and Sharon Harpster.
In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Richard "Beeb" Harpster.

It is the family's wishes that all services at this time are made private and have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington NJ 07882.
