Obituary of Lucy M Hoffman
Lucy M. Hoffman, 98, a lifelong resident of Franklin Township passed away peacefully on February 9, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus.
Lucy was born at home in New Village, NJ on April 13, 1921 to the late William and Alice Hahn.
Lucy graduated from Washington high school class of 1939. She married the love of her life Fred Hoffman in 1942 before he went off to serve in WWII. Her beloved husband Fred passed away in 2001. Lucy was worked as a caregiver and was employed by the Hunterdon State School, Franklin Township Elementary School and Quality Outfitters in Stewartsville. She was a 75 year member of the Broadway United Methodist Church, a member of the Warren County Grange, NJ State Grange and the Franklin Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Lucy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and gardening.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Lynch, Lorraine Whitmore and her husband John; Grandchildren, John, Eric, Lisa, Wayne and Jill; Great Grandchildren, Corey, Brandy, Holly, Alia, Juliana, Matthew, Lauren and Conner; Great Great Grandchildren, Natalee, Olivia, Kaylee, Raelyn and Ethan. In addition to her husband Lucy was preceded in death by her brothers William, George, Albert, Robert and Junie.
Family and friend may pay their respects on Saturday February 15, 2020 from 10-11 AM at the Broadway United Methodist Church. 2233 State Route 57 West. Broadway, NJ 08808. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church. Interment will follow at the Asbury United Methodist Cemetery in Asbury, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Lucy’s name to the Broadway United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
