Obituary of David Yale

David "Chummer" Yale Sr, 77, of Stewartsville, NJ passed away peacefully on December 25, 2016. David was born on July 10, 1939 in Stewartsville, NJ to the late Henry and Rose Yale. David graduated from Washington High School class of 1957. He was employed at Johnson & Johnson prior to his retirement in 2005. He was of the Lutheran faith. David's passion was restoring old cars. He enjoyed driving his 1935 Oldsmobile. His love for the outdoors was evident through his gardening and camping trips. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, NASCAR and dirt track racing. Above all his favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his loving children, 2 daughters, Lori Barnes and Lisa Wojaczyk and her husband Keith, a son David Jr and his wife Sherry, 2 sisters, Betty Rush and Beverly Rush and a brother Robert Yale. His cherished grandchildren, Chalee, Cody and Jayden. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Henry "Topper" Yale and a sister, Marie Appleby. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday December 30, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David's name to American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 or Oxford Second Presbyterian Church, 65 Washington Ave. Oxford, NJ 07863.
