Obituary of Gary John Bergmann

Gary John Bergmann, 65, a lifelong resident of Washington, NJ died at home with his family by his side, on October 10, 2016. He was born on December 5, 1950 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Charles and Ethel Bergmann. Gary was a graduate of Warren Hills High School class of 1969. He was formerly employed as General Manger for Stonegate Farms in Glen Gardner. He was adventurous, enjoyed sailing, and was captain of the seaworthy vessel, Sagacious. Gary was an avid reader, had a passion for cooking and above all he loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years Kathleen; loving children Will and Annalee; 2 brothers Kent and wife Kate and Eric; 5 brother-in- laws William, Kevin, Padraic and Dennis Costello and Tom Caracio; 2 sister -in- laws Moira Ranney and husband Robert and Deirdre Codispoti and husband Daniel; nieces and nephews Megan Wan and husband Keith, Kevin Ranney, Christina and Natalie Codispoti, Kevin, Keith and Jon Bergmann and Chris Caracio and Shannon Iacobucci. He is predeceased in death by his parents and sister Barbara. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be Friday, October 14, 2016 beginning at 9:00 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 398 County Road 513, Califon, NJ 07830. Interment will be conducted at Stewartville Presbyterian Cemetery in Greenwich, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
