Obituary of Preston I Apgar

Preston I. Apgar Jr., 79, of Hampton, NJ passed away suddenly on Thursday September 15, 2016. Born on June 7, 1937 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Preston Apgar and Beulah Edith Apgar. Raised in Asbury, NJ, Preston enlisted in the Army after leaving high school and proudly served his country as a Paratrooper in Germany. He was employed as a Teamster member in the transportation industry. Preston administered the affairs of the family farm much of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Preston loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed participating in the Apgar Genealogy Association. He is survived by his loving mother Beulah Apgar, caring sister Gloria Weaver, and also his nieces and nephew Lori, Janis and Jeffrey as well as grand-nephew's David and Matthew, his significant love Sheila Wisniewski and her children Holly, Diana, Laura, Melissa and Amy. His children Mary, Suzanne, Patti, Tracy. He is preceded in death by 2 children, Ralph and Barbara. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday September 22, 2016 from 3-7 PM and again on Friday from 11AM � 1:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A graveside service will immediately follow visitation at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton, NJ Memorial contributions may be made in Preston's name to the Musconetcong Valley Presbyterian Church, 140 Main Street, Hampton, NJ 08827
