Obituary of Jeanette S Rhinesmith

Jeanette Rhinesmith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother entered into eternal rest on June 23, 2015 in St Luke's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jeanette was born on May 31, 1937 in Orange, NJ to the late David and Gladys Kestner. Jeanette was raised in Jersey City and lived in Irvington, Union, and most recently Franklin Township in Warren County. Jeanette was a long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Irvington and most recently attended Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Pittstown. Jeanette achieved her childhood dream of becoming a teacher after graduating from Kean College with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree as a reading specialist. She taught at Berkley Terrace School in Irvington until her retirement. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Jack, and daughters Karen Novak and Patti Williams. She also was the grandmother of Christopher Novak, Caitlin Novak, Callie Williams, and Hannah Williams. Jeanette also survived by her brother David Kestner. Jeanette was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Gladys Kestner. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday June 26, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. In respecting Jeanette's wishes funeral services will be private. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jeanette's name to the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 2 Race Street, Pittstown NJ. 08867.
