Obituary of Lorraine C Billings

Lorraine C. Billings 80, formally of Bloomfield, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday September 8, 2014 at her daughter's home in Washington, Township. Lorraine was born in Philadelphia on November 13, 1933 to the late George and Elsie Fox. She graduated from Irvington High School class of 1951. Lorraine work as the Municipal Clerk for the Borough of Caldwell for 27 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Glen Ridge, NJ. She enjoyed gardening, reading and bird watching. Lorraine cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by her loving daughter Linda Leidner and her husband Rob, Her beloved grandchildren Philip and Emily Leidner, her canine companion Betty and niece Susan Olkowitz. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Billings in 2011. Friends and family may call on Thursday September 11, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday September 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Christ Episcopal Church 74 Park Ave Glen Ridge, NJ 07028. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, NJ. Donations may be made in Lorraine's name to the Christ Episcopal Church OR Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Westcott Dr, Flemington, NJ 08822. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
